The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Olufemi Oluyede has paid tributes to officers and men serving in various theaters of operations across the country for their sacrifices in keeping the nation secured.

He said this at the headquarters of the Special Task Force Operation Safe Haven during a luncheon organized for the men to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.

The Army Chief who was represented at the occasion by the Army Chief of the Armored Corps, Major General Obinna Ajunwa, commended the troops for their sacrifices and resilience in their line of duty and assured them of his continued support.

The General Officer Commanding, 3 Division, and the Commander of Operation Safe Haven Nigerian Army, Major General Folusho Onyilola commended the men of the Special Task Force for their dedication to duty and also thanked their families for their support and sacrifices, serving as a morale booster to the men.

As the celebration climaxed, the officers and men were treated to sumptuous meals, personally served to them by the representative of the Chief of Army Staff, the General Officer Commanding, and other senior retired officers who graced the event.
