Senate President Pays Tribute to Late Pope Francis on Behalf of Nigeria at Vatican Ceremony

Vatican City – In a solemn and historic moment at the heart of Catholicism, the President of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria led the nation’s delegation to the Vatican for the burial ceremony of His Holiness, Pope Francis. Representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Nigerian people, the Senate President paid tribute to the late pontiff during the Lying-in-State held inside the majestic St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City.

The Nigerian delegation joined other world leaders, dignitaries, and religious figures in paying their last respects to the late Pope, whose death marks the end of a transformative papacy that spanned over a decade.
