CBM FCT Reopens Operations at New Secretariat, Garki Unveils Fresh Push for Grassroots Mobilisation

ABUJA — The Federal Capital Territory Chapter of the City Boy Movement (CBM) has resumed full-scale operations from its newly established secretariat in Abuja, signalling a renewed push to strengthen the movement’s structures and expand grassroots engagement across the nation’s capital.

The FCT Director of CBM, Bitrus Lawrence Garki, disclosed this as he announced the commencement of activities from the new secretariat, describing the development as another important milestone in the chapter’s organisational growth.

Garki said the new operational base would provide a stronger platform for coordinating the movement’s activities while improving communication and engagement among members and grassroots stakeholders across the FCT.

“CBM FCT is back to work from our new Secretariat, and the energy is already picking up,” he said.

The Director acknowledged that significant work remains ahead, but maintained that the chapter was determined to sustain its momentum by consolidating its structures, remaining connected to the grassroots and keeping its activities active across the Federal Capital Territory.

Under Garki’s leadership, the FCT chapter has continued to focus on youth participation, grassroots mobilisation and the expansion of CBM’s organisational network within Abuja.

He emphasised that the movement’s strength would continue to depend on its ability to remain close to the people and build functional structures capable of driving its programmes and objectives at the grassroots.

The new secretariat is therefore expected to serve as a central hub for CBM FCT’s meetings, coordination, mobilisation and engagement with stakeholders as the chapter enters a new phase of activity.

Garki called on members and supporters to remain committed and actively participate in the ongoing efforts to build a stronger and more vibrant City Boy Movement in the FCT.

“There’s still plenty of work ahead, so we’re keeping the momentum going; strengthening our structure, staying connected to the grassroots and keeping activities active across the FCT,” he stated.

The resumption further underscores CBM FCT’s determination to maintain an active presence across Abuja while consolidating its structures ahead of upcoming political and civic engagements.
