2027: Michael Idoko Rallies PDP Women Leaders in Ogugu Ward 2, Reaffirms Commitment to Inclusive Representation

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Ogugu State Constituency seat in the 2027 Kogi State House of Assembly election, Hon. Michael Samuel Idoko (MSI), has continued his grassroots consultation with a strategic engagement involving women leaders and party delegates from Ogugu Ward 2.

The meeting, attended by constituency women leaders, polling unit women leaders, and delegates from all polling units in the ward, centred on strengthening the PDP’s grassroots structure and charting a united path toward the 2027 general election.

Addressing the gathering, Idoko described the women as the driving force behind the party’s success at the grassroots, stressing that their commitment and sacrifices have continued to sustain the PDP over the years.

He said his aspiration to represent Ogugu State Constituency is rooted in the desire to deliver effective and people-focused representation through regular engagement with constituents and policies that address their most pressing needs.

As a mark of appreciation for their dedication to the party, the PDP candidate presented quality Ankara wrappers to the women leaders, describing the gesture as a recognition of their invaluable contributions to the growth of the party and their role in mobilising support across communities.

Idoko noted that the exercise also marked the commencement of activities leading to a series of ward events ahead of the official launch of his campaign, which he said would further consolidate the PDP’s presence across the constituency.

The House of Assembly hopeful pledged to champion legislation and attract projects that would improve road infrastructure, strengthen education and healthcare, empower women and youths, create economic opportunities, and accelerate development across all communities in Ogugu State Constituency.

In response, the women leaders expressed confidence in his candidature and pledged to intensify grassroots mobilisation across polling units and communities to ensure the PDP records a resounding victory in the 2027 election.

The meeting ended with renewed calls for unity among party members and a collective resolve to work towards the success of the PDP in Ogugu State Constituency.
