Lokoja— Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, former Kogi State SDP governorship candidate, on Monday hosted a strategic meeting with prominent elders, royal fathers, and key stakeholders from Igala land.
Describing the engagement as “a moment of honour and reflection,” Ajaka thanked the leaders for their valuable counsel, guidance, and steadfast support in recent months, which he said heavily shaped his resolve to contest for Kogi East.
Speaking after the closed-door session, Ajaka said the meeting centred on building lasting peace, reconciliation, and unity across Kogi East, stressing that political differences should not hinder collective development.
He noted that all parties present agreed that meaningful and sustainable progress in the senatorial district can only be achieved in an atmosphere of harmony and mutual respect.“I urge everyone to continue to be ambassadors of peace and unity as we work together for a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Kogi East,” Ajaka said.
The gathering is believed to be part of broader efforts to strengthen cohesion and foster inclusive growth in the region.
